Though she grew up a farmer’s daughter and in a floral shop, Emily didn’t find her way back into flowers until 2012. Leaving behind a career as a collegiate track and field coach, Emily jumped head-first the wedding world, falling in love with the unique ability flowers have to transform a space. Since then Emily has worked as a floral designer in Illinois, Colorado, Arkansas, and North Carolina, where she now lives with her husband, baby boy, and sweet pup, Ida.

When she doesn’t have her hands in the dirt or a bucket of blooms, you can find Emily snuggling with her tiny family and probably eating something made with an overabundance of butter and sugar.

HEAD FLORAL DESIGNER

MEET EMILY

To me flowers are the ultimate way I love to express my creativity. The most genuine way I can bring utter joy to a couple and their guests on what is their most romantic and defining
day. Quite simply, I feel so blessed
and honored to have this
life as a florist.

I hate a quiet house and studio! I am most creative and productive when I have a movie playing in the background. My go-to’s are any Harry Potter or Indiana Jones movie!

I love the hot, humid days of a southern summer! Before I lived in Illinois and Colorado, I thought I would love a true winter and snow. I had never been more wrong.

I run off of sugar, caffeine, and butter. If you eat at my house, it will taste great, but don’t ask what’s in it because you’ll need an insulin shot just hearing the recipe.

I may be a little bias, but I’m absolutely positive God blessed me with the most perfect, loud, and active red-headed, little boy ever. My husband and fur-baby aren’t too bad either.

I love to stay outside, more specifically in my garden. The first home my husband and I bought, had a huge and chaotic yard. My husband said “Absolutely. NOT.” and wouldn’t get out the car. Being the best wife ever, like I normally am, I said “We’ll take it!” I love a good garden project!

Garden and Gun magazine is treated like the Holy word at our house: whatever they say “eat,” we devour. The hubby and I may have planned our honeymoon around G&G’s restaurant recommendations.
